Relax and Unwind

Explore the wild and beautiful Pembrokeshire coast right on your doorstep. Cross one field towards the sea and you'll reach the Pembrokeshire Coast Path. Here you can walk to the west, reaching Martin's Haven and the Deer Park/Wooltack Point in about 20 minutes, with a fabulous view of the whole of St Brides Bay and the islands of Skomer and Skokholm. Alternatively, turn right/east towards our favourite beach, Musselwick, where peregrine falcons nest on the cliffs, or walk further on to the sleepy hamlet of St Bride's. Half a mile across the peninsula to the south brings you to Marloes Sands: a huge stretch of unspoilt sandy beach. St Ann's Head above Dale is another walker's delight, as are the rugged Preseli Hills to the northeast.

Culinary Treats

East Hook Farm's charm is its remoteness, but we are blessed with some excellent restaurants and cafes on our doorstep. Half a mile to the south (through the NT car park above Marloes Sands) is Runwayskiln coastal cafe, serving the most delicious cakes, hot and cold drinks, together with mouth-watering fresh-cooked lunches and their wonderful lobster rolls from the outdoor kiosk in the summer. A short drive into Dale brings the option of Tân A Môr (Fire & Sea) in the Dale Yacht Club, known for delicious seasonal menus – often using produce caught, grown or foraged within sight of the Clubhouse windows. Also in Dale is The Griffin, with its award-winning seafood menu and a cosy, friendly pub. Or, just 1 mile back down the lane in the centre of Marloes is The Lobster Pot, dog-friendly and serving pub grub alongside local beers and cider.
Watersports

Nearby Dale is the boating centre of the Marloes peninsula, where you can hire sea kayaks, paddle boards and wetsuits at Windswept Watersports, or book yourself in for a sailing lesson in the protected bay. Kids love 'crabbing' off the pontoon here too. If it's surfing you're after, you can boogie board right on Marloes Sands, or head to Newgale Beach, round the coast towards St Davids, where the Surf School offers group and individual lessons. In the centre of St Davids you'll find TYF Adventure for Coasteering, surfing, kayaking & more, or check out Voyages of Discovery for speed boat trips around Ramsey Island - they usually see dolphins.

Historical Sites

St Davids (Britain's smallest city) is a gem of a place. The Cathedral and Bishop's Palace next door are a wonderful place to explore and the city boasts some lovely shops and excellent places to eat. There are several castles around the county, but top of our list is Pembroke, with its magnificent Norman castle, hosting fascinating exhibitions and events. The town of Narberth, with its multicoloured Georgian and Edwardian houses and the characterful clock tower, is full of charm - its proudly independent high street sells everything from the most delicious deli food to fine art.
